Natural stone
Quartzite, granite, marble and dolomite. Every slab is one of a kind, formed underground over millions of years, and no manufactured product reproduces that depth.
Quartzite is the family favourite: dense, hard and dramatic. Granite offers the widest colour and price range. Marble is unmatched for beauty and develops a patina in a working kitchen. All natural stone needs sealing — most professionals recommend at least annually.
Engineered stone
Manufactured slabs offering consistent colour and pattern, which is why they dominate new builds, multi-unit developments and long uninterrupted runs where predictability matters more than uniqueness.
Two things to know. Keep engineered stone out of direct sunlight and away from direct high heat. And silica safety is real — we are industry leaders in eliminating the risks of respirable crystalline silica, with WorkSafe NZ and NZESAG / Impac accreditation, and we process Zero Silica or Low Silica product where possible.
Porcelain
The most heat and UV stable surface we supply, non-porous, and available in very slim profiles. It is our first recommendation for outdoor kitchens, BBQ areas and anywhere exposed to strong sun.
Porcelain edges need care during handling and installation — impacts can chip them — which is exactly why it should be fabricated by a specialist using the brand's own guidelines. Those manuals are published in our technical resources.

Do you supply stone benchtops outside Auckland?
Our own manufacture and installation covers Whangarei to Bombay. Beyond that we regularly help clients select slabs and work with a network of quality benchtop manufacturers in other regions.
Which stone is best for a New Zealand kitchen?
Quartzite and granite for hard-wearing natural surfaces, engineered stone where colour consistency matters, porcelain for outdoor kitchens and high heat areas, and marble where beauty outweighs patina.
How long does a stone benchtop take?
Usually 7 to 10 working days from template day, up to 15 for extra large or complex work. Templating happens once cabinetry is installed and your sink, taps and hob are on site.
Is engineered stone safe to fabricate in NZ?
Only with proper controls. Our plant, training and systems are accredited by WorkSafe NZ and NZESAG / Impac, and we process Zero Silica or Low Silica engineered stone where possible. Ask any fabricator to show you their accreditation.
