Bathroom Vanity Tops Auckland

Small surface, big impact — and the one place a spectacular slab costs surprisingly little.

Bathroom vanity with a marble stone top

A vanity top is a fraction of the area of a kitchen, which means it is where you can use a stone you might not budget for across a whole kitchen. A dramatic marble or a bold quartzite in a powder room is one of the best value moves in a renovation.

Architectural Stone Co fabricates and installs vanity tops, bath surrounds, shower niches and hobs for Auckland bathrooms and ensuites from our Wairau Valley plant.

Materials for bathrooms

  • Marble — at its safest here, with far less acid and heat exposure than a kitchen bench
  • Quartzite — dense, dramatic and low-fuss
  • Engineered stone — colour-consistent, ideal when matching multiple bathrooms in one home or development
  • Porcelain — non-porous, slim profiles, excellent for wet areas and large-format wall surfaces

Details that matter

  • Basin type — undermount, above-counter or integrated
  • Tap holes and mixer positions, confirmed before templating
  • Splashback or upstand behind the basin
  • Waterfall ends on freestanding vanities
  • Matching shower hobs, niches and bath surrounds

Multi-bathroom homes and developments

When a home or development has several bathrooms, engineered stone makes specification simple: the colour repeats exactly, so ensuite, main bathroom and powder room read as one design decision. For subdivisions, apartment blocks and retirement villages we can programme staged installation across all units.

As with kitchens, have basins and tapware on site at template day. Lead time is generally 7 to 10 working days from template.

Common questions

Can I use a leftover offcut from my kitchen for a vanity?

Often yes, and it is one of the smartest ways to use remnant material from a kitchen job. Ask us at templating and we will check what your layout leaves behind.

Undermount, above-counter or integrated basin?

All three are possible. Undermount gives the cleanest wipe-down. Above-counter basins allow thinner tops. Have the basin and tapware on site before templating whichever you choose.

Is marble safe in a bathroom?

Bathrooms are one of the best places for marble — far less acid and heat exposure than a kitchen bench. Seal it and use pH-neutral cleaners.

Can you match a vanity to a shower niche or wall?

Yes. We fabricate matching shower niches, hobs, bath surrounds and feature walls from the same material.
