Architectural Stone guidelines

  • It is strongly recommended that 12mm solid porcelain benchtops are installed on cabinets which are constructed with solid tops.
  • Our standard Pencil Arris edge profile is 3mm radius top + bottom. This is required by manufacturers for warranty purposes.
  • Most 12mm and 20mm porcelain designs are a print on the face of the slab. Edge colour is normally the plain base colour.
  • For 12mm and 20mm benchtops with waterfall ends: The inside faces of the waterfall ends are the plain base colour but polished to a smooth finish.
  • Porcelain benchtops can be mitred to greater thicknesses. This ensures the edge is the same colour / pattern as the face, however the pencil arris can sometimes expose a tiny bit of the base colour. It is advisable to check the sample of your chosen porcelain design prior to ordering.
