No. This can cause Thermal Shock which will result in a cracked benchtop.
Yes engineered stone and natural stone can often be repaired seamlessly. Please contact us for a list of professional repairers. When it comes to Porcelain benchtops it is important to take particular care not to damage the edges as strong impacts around the edges can cause chips which are not always possible to repair. No, definitely not! The health risks associated with Respirable Crystalline Silica exposure only occur during the manufacturing process. Once the benchtop is installed it is 100% safe. At Architectural Stone Co our state of the art plant, staff training and management systems all contribute to ensuring our team members go home safe at the end of each day. Our plant and management systems are accredited by Worksafe NZ and NZESAG / Impac. We are industry leaders in eliminating the risks of working with respirable crystalline silica. Where possible, we only process Zero Silica or Low Silica Engineered Stone.
Approximately 7-10 working days from template day. Can be up to 15 working days for extra large or complex jobs.
Typically a bit more expensive than Formica benchtops but well worth it for the increased durability, beauty and longevity. We offer a range of attractive good quality stone solutions to suit all budgets.
You will need to have all sinks, vanity bowls, taps, airswitches and hobs on site near the cabinets they are going into. Your kitchen manufacturer will usually co-ordinate this with you.
It is important not to touch or bump the sink for 24 hours after we have installed it. This is to allow the glue to cure.
Totally depends on use and cleaning frequency. Most professionals recommend resealing at least once a year. Please see our Care Guide for detailed instructions.
Architectural Stone Co recommend never cutting food directly on the countertop as this will result in a scratched benchtop, please use a cutting board.
